Othermade of plastic except for the bottom which is metal. (the battery cover and compartment are plastic)
I bought the 506 being the newer model at the time so I can create some cool effects with my bass when recording or gigging. When i brought it home, I didn't find much use for it. The F/X on the thing were almost unusable for playing live or at all for that matter. You could make your own sounds if you wanted to, but again you couldn't really use it for playing live because of the volume and the unclearity of the sound.
