I bought this amp new at the Bass Player in Sydney in 1995 and have used it constantly ever since. It is a solid state mosfet bass amp made with military grade components. It has a single input which is switchable for passive/active basses, a 600 ohm balanced line out, an effects loop, and an inbuilt compressor. The 4 equalisers are active and give a considerable amount of cut/boost which makes it very easy to tailor the sound to suit your tastes. There are also two voicing pots to tweak the mids and highs. The basic sound of this amp is very warm and tubey, which is the main reason I've kept using it all these years. I have received plenty of compliments on my sound ( even when using my cheap practice bass; a Yamaha RBX765A )It is a very quiet amp and has been extremely reliable for the seven years I've been playing through it. I recently had to return it to the manufacturer in Melbourne for some minor repairs. They were very prompt and helpful in their replies to my email queries and had the amp back to me in a week. Overall, I'm very happy with this amp, considering the amount of use it's had, and with the quality of the manufacturers after sales service. They have recently released new 300w, and 600w versions of this amp which I'm going to check out soon. The 300 watt one retails for about $1700.00 Australian which is cheap compared to say Eden ($2500.00 )or SWR amps of about the same wattage.
