I was looking for a cheap, loud and portable amp and this filled the bill.
I have used Yorkville/Traynor in the past and can vouch for their
toughness. They are definitely roadworthy if nothing else.
Input section contains two 1/4 inch channels with separate gains and
selector, controlled by master volume. Tone is shaped with hi/mi mid/lo
mid/lo rotary controls and a sweepable parametric. Standard speaker out,
effects send/return. Single 15 inch driver in front-ported cabinet.
Sound? Well, it was loud enough for pop/rock work in medium sized clubs.
As for the quality, well, with a Precision there was sufficient bottom and
clarity but not really a refined tone. This amp is strictly utilitarian.
I wouldn't recommend it for jazz or studio work since the tone is rough.
But for the use I had for it there was no problem.
