I love this amp! 200 watts of all tube power and this thing is LOUD! I play in a 5 piece with 2 Marshall 100W 1/2 stacks and I can't go above about 3 on the master volume without drowning out the guitars. I was worried about headroom because I had some problems with a 200 watt combo but FORGET IT! Im using my GD to power a 1200W Ampeg Pro Series 8X10 cab. Talk about rattling windows! I live in Prague so service was a factor for me (GD's factory is about 15 mins from where I live) so with my $1000USD (I was about to buy an Ampeg SVT350 Pro) wet to check out the GD stuff. I met Mr. Dennis myself and he and his people are very knowledgable and friendly. He even made my a special hybrid cable for connecting my head (speakon) to the cab 1/4". I trust that these people will take care of me if I need it. He told me they have service in the States too (Long Beach, CA) but I have no other information on this. The amp has ALOT of knobs and switches and also a foot pedal. It is intimidating at first but if you have a sound in mind (Motorhead to U2) you CAN find it. On the downside, this thing is ball-bustingly heavy (30kg + 75kg for my Ampeg cab -thats 231 lbs!) But when you buy a tube amp you know what you are getting. Mr. GD told me that the power tubes are specially made for him by Tesla. All I can say is they are soooo warm and absolutely noiseless! This amp has no cooling fan but GD said it doesn't need one. Seems strange to me but no problems so far. Lastly, this amp has 2 gain knobs one is called HEAT. and another knob (I dont know what it is exactly) called "BALLS" but they are the keys to dialing in kick ass sounds! GO BUY THIS AMP!
