Excellent powered speaker system. I play in a duo group and a 5 piece
band.
I have an Epiphone Viola Bass, a Yamaha TRB5II Bass, a Zoom Bass Effects, a
Berringher Microphone and I plug all these into my MS400 through a
Berringher Mixer consul.
The MS400 takes all this without any worry. The Bass guitars are clear for
both acoustic and punchy sounds. I have compared the MS400 against Bass
amp heads and combos such as Fender, Ampeg, SWR and Trace Elliot, but only
Trace Elliot comes close.
The acoustic guitar sound is genuinely acoustic and the vocals are clear.
I turn the volume on the MS400 on full and adjust each instrument via the
mixer and I have never had any hum or noise problems.
Yamaha after sales assistance is excellent.
My only reserve is that Yamaha have not designed a travel case for the
MS400. Eventhough they advertise the MS400 as a sturdy speaker cabinet, a
case is advisable to protect the speaker's appearance.
