Korg's DTR-1 is the current top-of-the-line rack tuner on the market. I hear there's going the be a new version coming out to replace this model, but I haven't seen anything yet. You may be asking yourself, "how did he get that low of a price on that tuner?" It was a mistake that worked in my favor. I went purchase a DTR-2 (which is the tuner a step below the DTR-1), but when the guy got one out of the stock room, he grabbed the wrong box! I didn't notice until I got home, but it was nice to get a $300.00 tuner for $149.00! This tuner has so many features like strobe tuning, two input selector, mute, instrument cable check, led letters for what note your tuning, and that famous dancing LED you'll see sliding back and forth. I've had mine for 4 years now, and never have had any problems. In fact, it's one of the few pieces of gear that I have that I never worry about it's reliability. I feel the best part about this tuner, is its wide display. A lot of tuners require you to be right on top of the display to see what you're tuning. This is not the case with the DTR-1. The directions manual is NOT a fun read, and the tech support at Korg is anything but friendly. If you have a question, they'll tell you your answer is in the manual. Too bad the manual was written by a rocket scientist. If you can't afford the $300.00 DTR-1 or the $150.00 DTR-2; Korg and Boss also manufacture less expensive alternatives that work just as well. Stay away from Sabine and Fender tuners!!! High price for a tuner, but now I will NEVER have to upgrade!
