I love this bass period! I have owned many basses over the years but this one is my favorite. First of all the fit and finish is top notch with my particular bass. It feels great to wear for long periods of time (lighter than my Fender Deluxe Jazz V which is an adequate comparison IMO). The neck is narrow for a 5 string (more narrow and comfortable than my Jazz as well). The tone is great - I can get many sound combinations out of this bass. I like the high-end boost - this is a nice feature. Another great feature is the ability to adjust each pickup pole for balancing the field produced from each string. There is also a bridge set screw for locking the saddles (pushing them together) for maximum sustain. You can also string through the body. I have checked out the US version and this bass feels the same and of course sounds the same (US electronics). The only negative thing I would have to say is the excess wire lengths to the active PCB. I have shorted them and changed the cheap 9v connector to a better quality. I have also had to change the output jack, but that to me is minor. The pots are all Mighty Mites as well (no noise issues). I have upgraded (slight upgrade if any) the op amp as well. Oh, did I mention this bass looks GREAT too? Well it does and I liked it so much I had bought a second one in sunburst. I would highly recommend this bass. If you do get one of these and have a noise problem it could be due to the op amp and not the pots. My sunburst model had a noisy ciruit due to a faulty op amp. I replaced and it works great. Cheers from Canada!
