This cabinet is pushed to its limits 200 gigs a year and has never let me
down. It is not too big and not too small. Believe it or not, it is
lighter than it looks. It is only a few lbs heavier than a 4X10. The
special designed speakers used in this cab are lighter than average and
handle more. Speakers do get fatigued and should be replaced every
1000hrs. However, I have 2400hrs on these puppies and haven't blown one
yet and they still sound good. Plus, I'm afraid to find out what they
cost to replace.
The sound is amazingly focused and punchy while still obtaining massive
bottom. The Foster horn will pierce a hole in your head when turned up so
use it sparingly. I get enough highs out of the 10's for me without the
horn. I've tried them all and the only 6X10 that comes close is the Genz
Benz 6X10 XB.
It is a refrigerator style dolly cabinet with rear and side handles so it
also pretty portable for its size. I can handle it myself but I'm a
fairly big guy. If not, I recommend you get the drummer to help you since
most guitar players are whimpy!!
