I was never ever a fan of Carvin basses, until now. These new SB Basses have sure gotten a lot of attention from a lot of players. This is the fresh take on the J-bass, and I think Carvin hit it out of the park with this bass.

For me, this is a first.......single coils pu's (not noisy), strings through body, and 2 volume controls. The controls on the bass are: 2 volume knobs (one for each pickup), tone/passive knob, and stacked treble/bass. The active onboard preamp is 18db cut & boost.
