The Baby Baby Blue is a new version of the Baby Blue II that uses a 10 inch
driver instead of 2x8 drivers. This makes for an even more compact package
and at 39 lbs.,a breeze to carry.I had a very big combo before this which
sounded great, but was a real hassle to move around.Generally,I play small
gigs doing either modern jazz/fusion with a trio or folk-rock with a 4-pc.
group. My plan was to get a small but high-quality amp and utilize the P.A.
or an ext. cab if ever underpowered. While the power rating is rather
low,the amp is quite loud for it's size and projects extremely well.Adding
an ext. cab will boost the power from 120 to 160 watts(that's assuming you
add an 8 ohm cab) and makes a significant difference in the output.I'd
recommend an SWR Son of Bertha. With this amp.clarity is the key word.It is
definately a high-fi sound and stays that way as you turn it up.It has
exceptional bass response for it's size and the fact that it's only
1x10.All my basses have Barts which sound really great. If you are after a
dirty rock sound this is probably not your amp. However,it will let you
hear and work with the true sound of your instrument.Chords and double
stops sound perfectly clear.Sounds great for Fusion,Jazz,Classic R+B,etc.
Best meant for small gigs and recording.
