EBS has another winner with the UniChorus. It is similar in
appearance and simplicity with it's brother, the EBS Octabass. 2 pots
control Depth and Rate, and a switch between the pots lets you pick
between, chorus, flange, and pitch shift. It has a mono and stereo
output. My personal favorite is the chorus effect, but the others are
useful as well. One difference sound wise from other chorus effects
I've used (Ibanez, Boss, Zoom) is that I don't get a drop in lower
register when the effect is one (on other pedals I've need to boost
the bass a bit). This makes is easier to switch on/off with having to
reset EQ. Battery consumption seems low, and it can also use EBS
phantom power. It is analog (less "processed" sound in my opinion),
very quiet and does the job quite nicely for bass. Is is on the
expensive side, but well worth the price if you ask me. This and the
EBS Octabass are the only effects I'm using now, and I'm very happy
with both.
