I bought this for it's portability. Once I learned how to use the eq section this combo sounded really good. Full tight bass, crisp highs, adequate volume. I added a Yorkville 1x15 extension cab and that made the rig sound even bigger. It has very capable tonal possibilities as is, but I prefer to run a Sansamp DI in the front end, keeping the xm200 preamp set flat. I then dial in a bit of the scoop to tighten up the sound a bit. I actually like the sound of the sansamp run directly into the fx loop, thus bypassing the xm200 preamp altogether, but this does not produce enough volume for most live applications. I plan to add some handles to the sides of the main rig, as it tends to be awkard carrying down steps, or lifting in/out of a car. I did put casters on the extension cab, which helps to roll the stacked rig around. This is a great rig ( plus the ext cab) for anyone looking for an adequately loud, crisp clean tone on a budget, or for someone needing a great sounding stage monitor minus the ext. cab. If you do play larger rooms, you will definitely need some pa support, as the lows probably won't project into the room.
