At first I thought this was just another Bartolini Preamp but with a little
more headroom.
I was wrong.
It is almost noiseless, and it sounds great.
The mid control does affect your tone extremely.
What is different on this preamp?.
The bands are somewhat wide, and they overlap with each other.
For example, if you have a great tone dialed in already and you reduce the
highs, you also lose some midrange. This is true for any of the controls.
Now, if you have the bass boosted and switch from Active to Passive mode,
you can hear a WHOOMP, because of the current change.
This is a great sounding preamp, but I think many people wont like the
Overlap "feature" too much, now the Midrange really affects the tone,
also is almost imposible to clip this unit.
