This amp is absolutely amazing. I love all tube heads, have played through a mesa 400+ and an svt-cl, but this thing is the definition of diversity. Seperate FET and tube channels, blendable, 5 band eq for each channel and three global signal shapers(L.F. boost, mid-scoop, H.F. boost) with 5 button footswitch to go between FET/tube/mix. Funny enough, as much as I love the tube sound, I use the FET channel more, as it's a little more suited to what I play regularly. I have yet to be in a situation where i can't dial up in a minute or less what I need.

As far as the tube channel, it gets super thick, warm tones perfect for straight forward rock. I've used it through a few different cabs: an swr triad, an ampeg svt810, and finally settled on an ampeg svt410hlf and svt115e. This turned out to be the perfect combination. Running incredibly cool at 2.67 ohms with this stack, I've never heard my basses sound so clear. I've never heard myself sound so good.

When I was pushing the 810 in the studio, I had the master up to about 1 o'clock. With the 410 and the 15, I have yet to take it above 10 o'clock, nor have I hooked up the bbe sonic stomp I used to get more punch and a bit more clarity out of the 810.

I can't say enough about this amp. I was running an swr 750x before I bought this and was looking to go all tube for my next one, but after playing this, I have no use for an all tube head. I can get any tone i want and more out of this. The only thing I'm missing is the built-in tube overdrive that was on the 750x. I haven't messed around enough with the tube channel to try and overdrive it, but I can't get the same distortion.

Even if you have to pay the full list price for this amp, do it. It's is the single most incredible piece of gear I have ever used.
