I have to say, I've listened to many pickups in my life, but these are pretty amazing. Aero is a relatively small company, and the pickups they make are little spendy, but, for the kind of music I like to play, they are perfect.

They don't have the EMG sizzle, or the bartolini spank. What they have is a very, very clear articulate voice with extremely even response across the strings. Their website claims that this model was designed to eliminate "dead c string" syndrome. I suppose they succeeded. I play alot of chords and high register solo melody stuff. I just like that they are so crystal clear without having a sound of their own. You really get the sound of the bass, not the pickup.

These may not be for everyone. If you are a rocker or a metal player, they may not have the grind or grit you need. If you play jazz, fusion, reggae, funk (definitely),country, or just like your sound really clean, these are absolutely worth a listen. It's worth mentioning that they have a strange appearance. Instead of traditional round polepieces, they are rectangular. Not bad looking, just a little different.

F.Y.I. These pickups are in a custom Acacia 6 string and run through a J Retro preamp.

Aero makes all different kinds of pickups, and from what I hear and read, they are all way above par.
