I was originally looking for Neodymium drivers to replace my current drivers, Eminence Poly 10" with foam surrounds. They have a FS of 21hz and 90db at 1w. Long storty short...my 4x10 is very "plump" in the bottom and moves a LOT of air but...HEAVY! I had found BOSS NEO10 and Lanzar NEO10 that had the specs I wanted but they were no longer available. I had heard Avatar had updated the NEO series. I gave them a call and talked to Dave and I went ahead and ordered one. It arrived a day ahead of schedule and I was using it that night. The first thing I noticed was how light it was-YES then came the main test...the SOUND! It passed with flying colors! Lows-mids and the highs were all there. I did have to change my EQ from flat to get the roundnes I am used to..but it IS in there! I use an Ashly BP-41 pre-amp, Mackie FR1400I poweramp or 2xJBL6320 poweramps Custum 4x10 cab and Avatar B410 Neo usually in stereo plus 2-15" low cabs. I am very pleased at how the Avatar fits itno the system as well as holds its own....Get one or 2!
