EMail :Cygnusx7@aol.com There are a great deal of high quality basses out there but, I have to say that Stuart Spector makes some of the best. Meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail make this bass look and sound very professional. A brass bridge and nut as well as gotoh tuners (all gold plated) keep this bass well intonated, in tune, and tight no matter what style you choose to play. It's 34 inch scale offers a tighter B than most 35 inchers and in the process makes it fairly easy to handle even for people with average (like mine) or small hands. Although the bass arrived with a ridiculously low setup, I took it to my local guitar tech and had him re-set-it-up for me with great results. The fretwork was pretty clean except for a little glue here and there, and little buzzing is evident even with a low setup. Of course the EMG's are top notch and make no noise. The EQ circuit is so powerful I was forced to turn the bass concentric down. The overall sound is focused and extremely clear. Unfortuneatly this is one heavy motha, so I suggest a good padded strap and some weightlifting to strengthen your shoulder (no really:). Also the neck is pretty chunky, but in the end I think this adds to the monstrously cutting tone. You will defineatly need some good speakers to accurately represent this incredicle 6-String. I you've got some cash and want the best this is damn close to perfection. If that isn't enough Stuart Spector is a real cool guy too, sent me a t-shirt and promptly answered all questions I e-mailed him.
