These strings definitely hold up to the assumptions of Fodera quality, but
the sound is surely not for me. For those of you that HATE the
"zing" of new steel strings like I do, the Foderas have the most zing
I have heard in any string. OF course, if you like that as many players
do, then YEAH - you have your dream strings. After a month or two they
deadened a bit and they were still quite bright without being zingy. I
hope zing is a word. The strings also grab your fingers when they're
new, as characteristic with steel strings - but more so than normal, in my
experience.
All in all - great string, well built, good BRIGHT sound. Not the sound
i'm looking for.
