I picked this bass up new from Musicians Friend and couldn't be happier with
the deal I got. This is a gorgeous bass that really sits well in the mix
with our two guitar players and drum machine. It slaps well (I don't), but
can also really get that deep blues tone that many of our tunes require.
What I really like is the string spacing which is normal, no compacted to
try to fit five strings where four should go. I like my action fairly low,
and I've got it with no string buzzing.
Workmanship seems good; don't see any flaws in the finish. Fret ends are
smooth. To be honest, I read all the time about one fret being higher than
another. I'm not sure I can tell whether that's the case, but I do know this
is one easy playing instrument that even if it didn't come with a
rectangular hardshell case (it did), it would be worth what I paid for it.
