EMail : mikeyh76@hotmail.com I have never owned a Hipshot D-tuner, and from what I heard from others in my experience of working in a music store, I wouldn't have wanted one. HOWEVER, I recently purchased a Musicman Stingray that had one on it. I must say that I was very suprised. It holds its tune very well. Drop the lever down to D and it's there. Flip the lever back up, and it's back at E. A couple of times I had to tune it slightly. It even stays intonated pretty close. It's not a bad product. I would recommend them to someone if they asked. The bottom line is this: You'll either love it or hate it.
construction (90%)
usefulness (75%)
(Great for drop D stuff
value (50%)
(I'd recommend buying a 5 string
overall (65%)
