This is the preamp section of the SVT III pro. It has five tubes in it's gain stage and has proved incredibly flexible. Tuner mute and Graphic EQ or footswitchable, and the EQ can be used as a second channel, ie. high level slider can yeild more overdriven sounds. I had been trying to find a cheap way to get the SVT tone, and this proved to be the solution. The tone is very tubey, warm and thick, with just the right amount of breakup for that wonderful tube growl. The tone is very tight and punchy as well. So far I have no complaints whatsoever.
