I bought this amp when I was just a beginner and knew nothing about bass amps. Now I use it mainly as a practice amp in my house because it is not loud enough to disturb the neighbors. Its range is very narrow (a low E can cause it to rattle). Obviously because it has very few controls, it is hard to shape your sound. In fact, it is very difficult to make this amp sound good. (I have a Warwick Corvette, it manages to take away the growl and make my bass sound whimpy). Construction seems to be pretty good although I haven't subjected it to much travel abuse (why would I take it with me?). I could only recomend this amp to beginners which I think this amp is targeted towards.
