I have two of these cabs which I drive with a Mackie M1400i. I am an extremely loud bass player, playing bass-led funk/rock/reggae music, and have the misfortune of often playing with very loud drummers. These cabs shift serious amounts of air - for playing with more reasonable drummers one cab is sufficient - and the quality is fantastic. They are very honest cabs which sound very much like studio monitors. I have used them as a PA at small gigs and they sound so good, the clarity is exceptional. I tend to have the attenuators at full which gives a 5dB bump in the mids and 2dB in the highs which really helps cut through in the mix. I have occasionally wished that this rig was louder but in reality I don't need any more volume, it always provides enough stage volume and is sufficient without a PA for most medium-sized gigs. Any questions, just email me.
