Lives up to all the buzz on Acme speakers. I had an Acme 4x10, which I loved, and decided to go the route of using two 2X10 cabinets. I run one per channel of a QSC PLX 3002 power amp, which means each cab gets about 550 watts into 8 ohms. The preamp is an Ampeg SVP Pro. The "whole" of two B-2 cabinets is much greater than the sum of the parts! In other words, even better than a single B-4. Considering how Acme cabs respond to power, these might sound even better if you put a couple hundred more watts to them, but I would recommend at least 500 watts. As they are, you get tight, solid low end and flat response all the way through the spectrum. As with Acme's in general, if you like coloration in your speakers, you should look elsewhere. What you put in is what you get out, only louder. If you buy these new, you get the added benefit of dealing directly with designer and builder Andy Lewis, who is very generous with his time and advice. Andy says what he does and does what he says!
