This preamp has to be the mother of customizability. It has Tube AND S.S.
preamp sections, with 2 stages of Distortion, Chorus, 5 band programmable
EQ, Compression, and 2 effects loops you can turn off and on. You get 30
presets, and you can do whatever you want with the remaining locations.
Programming can get a little difficult with not having knobs. Adjustments
are made via membrane buttons that control different things depending on
how many times you press them. EQ is adjusted via the Low, Low mid, mid,
High mid, and High. The Low and High are just adjusted to what the HZ is
already set at, but for the rest, you can tell it what frequency to boost
or cut.
The sound is just great, it can get a little hissy, but in a full band
situation, it won't be noticable. The chorus is rich and creamy, and you
can adjust the Rate and Depth for added control. This is an excellent
choice for the players in cover bands, top 40 bands, and just the regular
band that just wants a lot of versatility.
