I have been looking for a while for a bass rig that would be highly portable, very versitle, and capable of covering all of my volume needs. The Aguilar more than meets those requirements when powered by my Eden WT400. I sold my Bag End because, while it has a strong tight tone and is a little bit smaller than the Aguilar, it didn't have the same versatility of tone that I need. The Aguilar can get a deep, rich low sound, and plenty of snap with the tweeter turned up. It can also be easily EQ'd to get a nice mid sound out of it. I didn't find that I had the same range of adjustability with the Bag End (I wrote a separate review for that a while back).
The Aguilar is pretty light for a bass cabinet, weighing in at about 42 lbs. The handle is comfy, although I miss having a handle on the other side (like my Bag End had). The box is actually a bit on the big side, considering it has only one 12" speaker and a tweeter in it, but it keeps a low profile so it still fits into the trunk of my Nissan Sentra, albeit leaving only a little room to either side.
Soundwise it can pump out a good amount of volume. It won't shake the whole room or anything, but when I play with my band with drums, electric guitar (not crazy loud), keyboard, and vocals I find that I have more than enough volume. If I ever need more I'll probably just add another GS112 (or GS210) to my first. The tone is really nice. The first time I practiced on it at home I was in bass heaven. The low end is nice and rich and the cabinet makes me want to pop and slap, even through I don't have much call for that in my music. I like the middy-growl I can get from it too when I want it. I don't have a 5-string, but I hear the cabinet handles them well.
All in all, I think that after a lot of searching for the "ultimate" portable, loud, versatile cabinet I have found one I am very happy with and plan to use for a long time.
