I took a gamble and bought this cabinet online from planetbass.com without any previous play on it(or any other Aguilar gear). But, the second I plugged it in I new it was a keeper. I've played my own active 5-string custom bass and a fretless Fender Jazz and both are amplified great through this cab. It's currently ran with a GK RB400, which only puts 150W through it. I look forward to purchasing a head that will put the 600W cab to work soon! I've played it with a few bands already and have heard only good comments about its sound. And I agree. It has plenty of lows without the mud, punchy midrange, and good amount of treble. The tweeter can be harsh if used improperly, but it's nothing a little tweaking on the tweeter attenuator and/or bass head can't fix. In a band situation, it can be as loud and present as you want it (amp head permitting!). The drummer even remarked it made his balls hurt! What more could u want!
