An amazing opportunity of being in the right place at the right time (I was at a store that had just been bough out by a chain and they were not going to carry the line). These cabinets were just released by Aguilar at the spring NAMM show. A description from a boutique NYC store was that the Aguilar was "where Eden was trying to go, but .....".
Anyway, I A-B-C'ed the GS410, a Bag End Deep 15", and an Eden 410xlt, by simply having the store employee switch the speaker cable, through my '70 P-Bass into my SWR sm-400. The GS410 had a punchier, clearer, and "fatter" sound, hands down, than the other two, and was very efficient. In fact, I got yelled at by the store employees for the volume that it was able to generate.
In the real world, playing with others in rock situations, I have finally achieved "the sound that I was always looking for" (I did like my old cab rig - the Bag End and an SWR 210 - but it's not the Aguilar). With my new Zon Custom 5 fretless - my sound palette is amazing. If you are looking for a 410 cab, do not miss auditioning this one!!! - even if your local store is pushing the mainstream of the industry. I haven't yet tried it with the Bag End, too (but haven't felt the need)
