This is a truly great bass.It kind of makes the bolt on neck basses that I played for years seem like toys.It is very solidly built and this particular bass has a beautiful walnut top on the mahogany body wings. The electronics provide real versatility-It can go from a singing jazz bass tone(with more output and no noise)to a deep, woody, warm almost upright type tone(and every thing in-between).I'm using it with an Eden metro combo. This bass is highly recommended-especially if you can find a used one.At 3000.00 list, they are not cheap.Their top of the line basses cost even more, but you really get what you pay for and they are good people to deal with(try dealing with Fender).Alembics have lasting value.
