Well I did it ...I spent more money than I ever have in my life on any one instrument..the baby bass reissue is well made...it sounds and physically resembles the original from the 60s. This one has a fiberglass outer shell, the 60s version was plastic. This bass has a piezo pickup in addition to the maginetic diaphram under the bridge.. The piezo makes the bass much more versatile as to capture more string resonance. I play blues mostly, it sounds great for that...but limited in the jazz setting as the pickups lack the ability to capture the more subtle aspects of playin technique..yes it is overpriced but it is well made and an eye catcher. My bass came with a finish flaw. All in all very happy but now broke.
