Aesthetics: Great retro looking amplifier!
Sound: This is the real reason I bought this over something else in the 15 inch combo catagory. I use this for small gigs, practices or accoustic shows when I'm not in the mood to drag my SVT along and don't need sheer volume. The sound is full and well defined (I play mostly rock and slap style rock). i can easily dial in that classic Ampeg sound. But beware, it is not powerful enough to keep up with a loud band (or drummer), however, as I quickly become overpowered if everyone starts to turn up. And the live sound guys I dealt with so far have not like the direct output, since there is no trim nob; they always insist I go through a DI into the house. This amp really shines at accoustic shows. The sound cuts through accoustic guitars and bongos superbly.
Overall: The best bass combo for my style and price range.
