no problem about the sound and the controls really have effect on it.
I choose it because of the possibility to combine the clean and the OD channel. I want a clean sound at first then the OD. It can do it but it's take time : on the clean channel there are volume, a five style position swtich, 5 EQ controls and the octaver depending on the clean's volume channel; on the OD channel there're gain, volume OD Boost and a five style position swtich. So there's a lot of possibility. You can't try it in five minuts. If you're just looking for OD i think it's better to have a OD pedal. One reproach : you can't control the noise gate. for me it works too early. All the inputs (preamp, effect...) and the outputs (xlr,...) are present. I think it's a good amp.
