I was looking for a good sounding combo that could handle small gigs (classic rock, 3000 sq ft, 3/4 power) and loud practice, feeding signal from a P-Bass and using a pick. I tested a dozen or so medium-high end combo's, the second runers up were Trace Commando 1x15 (edgy with a pick) and SWR WorkingMans 12 (hated the piezo tweeter and a bit quiet).

Good: The amp is pretty loud and sounds very well damped with a pick, P-Bass, and GHS Brite Flats. It seems very well built, doesn't get hot after 30 minutes at 50% power, and is very easy to get nice tone from without a lot of EQ. The EQ buttons (low boost, mid cut, high boost) work very nicely. It just sounds good without a lot of work.

Bad: Like any combo loud enough to use, it's too heavy at 65#. The power cable should have some storage built-in (easy to modify). The paperwork says 70db s/n which seems kind of sloppy; I haven't tested the line out yet myself.

For 60's tunes at small gigs or as a stage monitor, it is an excellent choice. Don't bother if you want to play fusion, slap/pop, bright modern stuff, etc. This is a retro unit and I doubt it would work well outside it's genre. If youlike playing 50-70's tunes, it's the right stuff. The blue diamond tolex is not my favorite look, but maybe it's yours.
