I bought this with some apprehension, having come across it an a local dealer. The name attracted and the compact size met my transport needs. It looks nice with it's retro 60's styling and it sounded great in the shop, but I questioned it's ability to cope with medium/large gigs. I needn't have worried. The tone is excellent and brings out the quality of the instrument (Gibson Ripper Bass) with the addition of a welcome warmth. The simplicity of the controls is, in my view, a benefit. This is an excellent amp and it's ability to deliver in gigs where you might expect it to be swamped is surprising. The last gig I used it at, (The Archer, Jesmond, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK) is fairly large for a pub; the B100R coped admirably. Comment from a bass player in the audience: "I thought you were DI'd into the PA. I can't believe you were only using that little transistor radio on stage!"

Seems like a good investment so far.
