I've played since 1973. Lots of equipment experience- Fender, Peavey, even some wierd configurations from Acoustic and Standel (anyone out there ever heard of Standel)? Anyway, the Ampeg is the best of the lot.
It is, a BRUTAL PIG of an amp- squat and mighty!! My current band is LOUD, and the Ampeg combo is an appropriate configuration for thumping the stage area, while a line out to an 18" cabinet keeps the dance crowd THROBING. At that volume, the tone can't be beat either.
