I bought this amp because I really wanted a 4-10. Every amp I ever had has
had 15 inch speakers. I've owned a 15 inch combo, and two 2-15 cabinets. I
thought the 10 inch speakers would brighten up my sound, and that it did.
I use this cab in conjunction with a Sunn 2-15. It delivers full out
sub-harmonic attack. I play in an indie emo band with a twist of punk
served with a slice of hard rock served chilled. I use my fingers, but
sometimes use a pick, this cab can handle it all. When I am just
practicing, I dont use the 2-15, because lets face, there is no need. At
practice I bi-amp though. One practice my guitarist who is also my brother
unplugged the 2-15 because he needed the speaker cable...I didnt notice
until the end of practice...does that answer how it handles different
frequencies? I could of bought any cab I wanted I had enough for SWR,
Peavey, and what not..but I chose this. The reason I didnt choose the
classic SVT series cabs, is because I dont think the tolex and grill cloth
would hold up on tour, and this cab needs to be hard as a rock to survive
tour...and it is.
This cab is not heavy by any means, the lightest 75 pounds I've ever had
to lift.
My last comment and suggestion is...if you get this cab, invest in a nice
1-15 to slap underneath this baby. Not a 2-15, it muddies up the mix, which
is why im dumping my 2-15 for a 1-15.
