I replaced an Epifany 410 with this ampeg cab and I am loving it! The ampeg plays deeper, punchier, cleaner and more extended than anything I have heard. The higher frequencies are excellent, better than my eden cabs. The only down side is you need lots of power to make this cab sing. An ampeg SVT IV Pro amp solved this with increadable results. I have an SVT II pro that works well also but I must admit this cab likes plenty of sold state power. The solid state IV Pro amp produces a bottom end that has to be heard to be believed. The control and extention in the bass is just nothing short of glorious. The all tube SVT II is not as deep or controlled, however the all tube tone makes missing that last bit of bottom end easy. Good thing this cab comes with heavy duty casters because it's heavy but I will bust my ass for tone any day. After all isn't music all about tone? All you whining bass players complaing about there gear being to heavy need to find another instrument to play! This is BASS were talking about here!
