And now for the sound from this beast...It's vintage Ampeg. Strong bottom end, crisp and clean with no muddiness or "boominess" that I've heard from some other 15" cabs. I drive this cabinet with an Ampeg SVT III head (350 watts into 4 ohms...this cabinet plus an 8 ohm 2x10 cab), and it responds beautifully.
Ampeg is synonymous with quality bass gear, and this is another fine example of their craftsmanship and "killer bass tone". At $175 used, it was a deal I'm glad I didn't pass up
