Aside from getting a killer ass deal on it (Sam Ash was selling out all their Ampeg stock for their April clearance thing), the tone is exactly what I was looking for....thick bass, perfect for the style of music I play (anywhere from punk and hardcore to metal). No other head I tried came close to the thickness of this baby....I'm very very happy with it. Any other questions, feel free to email me.

Construction 100%
(this baby has a sturdy chassis)
Loudness 100%
(450 watts is all I need until I make it to stadium gigs! ;-))
Clarity 100%
(isn't "transparent" like an SWR, but in heavier rock, you need a thick tone
, this amp is perfect for it)
Tone 100%
(can I only give a hundred? well, tone is definitely fundamental and this b
aby has beautiful bass by the truckload)
Value 100%
(Yes, I got a bargain, God loves me, but even at street price (like 800 some
thing) this is a tone monster)
Overall 100%
(Exactly what I was looking for....thank your lucky stars for companies like
Ampeg who know what bassists crave 0%
