I use an '86 "Skunkworks" Ampeg SVT-HD and a 1976 V-4B, through the 6X10 and occasionally through a Trace-Elliot 4X10.
Soundwise, includes accurate reproduction of all low through mid frequencies, and the horn allows the highs to cut right through.
The overall sound of the cabinet is much "darker" than a 4X10 setup, but that suits my sound much better than any of the brighter 8X8 and 4X10 cabinets.
The SVT-610 is only slightly more cumbersome to haul than a 4X10, and much less so than the 8X10 monster.
Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.
