Basically it's the new model without the bells and whistles. Don't care for an effects loop, tuner out, mute etc...? The tone is there (most important IMO), and you aren't missing out on something if you were to go for a more expensive newer unit.
Stick it in your rack, have fun, buy some flashing lights gear to make up for the not-very shiny face plate etc...
Basically, you get the tone without the bells and whistles.
