It's got quality vintage Ampeg tube sound in a solid state format, It wasn't powerful enough for me though. Also, by getting the super beefy tube tone, you lose clarity. You can't get both with this amp. I had it driving a 4 x 10 and a 2x 10 w/ horn, and I had no headroom during gigs- to me headroom is important because I can use it to achieve different tone variations.

Quality construction!!

If you're looking for a medium powered amp, this delivers great tone and variation, and it's pretty loud. If you're looking for a high powered amp, think about something else... I traded mine in for a Mesa m-pulse 600 -- tube tone, superior clarity, and massive amounts of volume!

Construction 100%
(SOLID!!!)
Clarity 85%
(This is where the tone is lacking- see review)
Versatility 98%
(Beef, or clarity- not both)
Volume 90%
(It did the job - but without any headroom)
Value 75%
(I paid too much- get yours used!!)
Overall 90%
(I would've been happier if I bought it used and paid less)
