When I was at the Summer NAMM show in Nashville this past summer, I got to meet Jim Bergantino and audition his fine product line. The HT322 was what I had been looking for. It is about the same dimensions as my Triad, but in another class. The coherence has to be heard to be appreciated. The transition from drivers to horn is seamless, as if eminating from a single speaker. When you de-attenuate the horn you simply notice more treble in the signal, not the honky, aggressive coloration you hear in so many other cabs. This particular configuration is good for me. This cab has a little more "booty" than the 3-10 and not as thick as the 2-12, a really nice balance. This baby can take the juice! I ran one side of a QSC PL1.8 (700 wts. @ 4 ohms) into just clipping and there was no speaker distortion. I bridged it (1,800 wts. @ 4 ohms)cautiously, I must add,and the sound just got better. Minuses? This is probably not a "rockers" cab, the 2-12 might be a better fit. Although, 2 322's would be brutal. The weight of this cab may turn some off, but, the design details make this very easy to transport. The Le Cover for this cab is great, highly recommended. Special thanks to Beaver Felton at Bass Central and Jim Bergantino for making this so easy, great people.
