It's funny - another reviewer mentioned the smell when
you open the
case - kind of like terpentine.
I got out of the biz for a while and sold everything I
owned in
disgust. Of course that was a rediculous thing to do,
so of course I've been
crawling my way back to my first love - on a budget.
So - the facts:
You will not find a better bass for the money. For a
rock or funk
player who ins't too fancy or into subtly this bass
will work for you.
Plenty of punch and attack, but you have to work for
it a little bit in
terms of how you play it. It's one of those basses
that does a few
things very well, maybe like a Rickenbacker or
something.
Again, for the cash, this is a very satifying bass to
play.
I am looking to upgrade, however.
