This is the double cutaway longscale Danelectro with the same pickups and electronics as the Longhorn.

Last thing I needed was another bass but for $250 I figured what the heck, there is something about this vintage reissue I really liked. Fit, finish and fret work are surprisingly good for this inexpensive ($250) Korean built bass. There is white tape that encircles the edge of the body (probably hiding the joint of the front and back) that has a hard time adhearing to the interior curves of the cutaway. The Masonite finish is blemish free :^). The neck has an extreme amount of relief and I cannot find any evidence that there is an adjustable truss rod so I'm hoping the relief holds as it appears it's required to eliminate fret buzz. The action is very high and out of the box it played like, well, a $250 plank. Some softer gauge strings helped. The bridge is not adjustable for intonation. Plastic strap buttons are standard. And the tuning pegs well, they suck. Imagine trying to tune up bass strings with guitar machines. It also tend to drift out of tune frequently. But you know what, I like the sound although I can't actually tell what the tone controls do. I haven't giged with it yet, nor have figured out what kind of tunes I'd play on it. Did I mention it was $250?
