Ray Rogers is a incredible luthier, he's even a freindly guy, who loves his work. He has many years expierence, including 4 years under Carl Thompson and only turns out 10-15 basses a year. I was fortunate enough to see one of his master peices on the internet and contacted the owner to find he works in NY. I immedietly called, played his bass and fell in love. I never played any bass so effortlessly and could not beleive the size of the tone and even responce from string to string. I gladly gave him the first installment and was hoping he could duplicate this fine instrament.
He did, and even went further. Every aspect of this bass was better than I had ever imagined. It was flawless and had an upgraded preamp and pick ups. Where else can you get a bass made by one single luthier, who's attention to detail is (in my opinion)unmatched for $2000!!!! You can't touch the assembly line produced, chain music stores finest for under$2500. This is one man doing everything from start to finish, he also guaranteed my neck for life. He is aces in my book and a few other lucky folks out there who have been graced with the pleasure of owning and playing one of his basses. If you are interested in speaking with him feel free to E mail me@ xstx@aol.com and I will give you his number, I don't feel right posting his number with out his permission. Also look for the R Bass web site soon.
