This bass is an incredible deal for the price that I got it at. It listed at over a thousand dollars, but since I bought it used and the model has been discontinued, the price signifigantly dropped. If you can find one of these for under 500, go for it, you will not regret it. This was my first six string bass, but I had very few problems with the transistion. The main problem for me was the switch of the string spacing, as my older bass was a Fender P bass. This is a very comfortable bass to play, espically for a six string. The body is super offset, more so than a Jazz Bass. It is also a very light bass. I am not sure what the electronics are on this bass, though I am not even thinking of replacing them right now. They work just great for me. I would recommend this bass to anyone who wants an affordable bass that could easily complete with anything under $1500.
