To be honest, it was a fantastic deal for a newbie bassplayer. It has serviced me well. The tone is nice and you can get a nice tinny sound right up to a nice rich sound.
The bass is a farily heavy one but so so much that you ache after 1 hour but you start to feel it after a 3 hour practice.
Considering it's an entry level guitar, the only gripe I have about is is a slight mistuning around the twelth fret on the D string. It is just enough to make your teeth ache. The fretboard is a nice fast one but does tend to allow a bit of that slidy sound if you move too fast (maybe it's my playing) :)
