I purchased this instrument on Ebay recently, and was very impressed with it, in general. It doesn't take long for your left hand to get used to the fanned frets, but, in my case, the right hand took considerably more time. Since the bridge is turned at a signifigant angle, the optimal place to pluck moves from to the left as you go up strings, or to the right as you go down. I'm getting the hang of it, but problems including fast string changes and octives, etc., makes it a challenge.

The instrument is a custom built instrument for Michael Rhodes, so the electronics are quite different from the ones offered on the Dingwall page. The pickups are both oriented very close to the bridge, and there are many knobs and dials, some of which I'm not quite sure about yet. Overall, this instrument is exactly what I thought it would be: the B is unbeatable, and everything in-between sounds anywhere from fuzzy to punchy to very, very bright, thanks to the 18V electronics. Everythings top-notch.
