i had an swr workingman's 12, but it just didnt cut it in the power section, so i figured it was time to move up. i bought the eden slightly used and it sounds better than new, its a tank and after several gigs and many moves i dont see it failing in terms of durability. its as hard to move as a tank to, since it is very tall due to the fact that the speakers are arranged in a zigzag fasion rather than in the square style that most 410's are. its sound is incredible, however, its holy tone seems to diminish slightly though when the strings arent fresh and alive. i can pull up a number of tones from jazz to the ska/punk tone i use in my current band. i play through it usually with a fender hot rodded american p bass, but occasionaly with an ibanez or other random basses. one minus is the fact that when i turn it up about half way the output limit light comes on, meaning that it is clipping the sound to prevent distortion, but this is only because i play with the eq set pretty high, the eq is great on this beast with many options unlike ive ever seen before, its almost the same as the eden wt-400, if not exactly the same. it also has many useful features like a compressor (with defeat), tilt back castors, tuner output, effects loop, FET preamp, and many other features. i love this amp, if its in your price range and your looking for an amp great for practice/medium sized gigs, i highly reccomend it.
